Training and Transition Day
Training and Transition Day is set for Sunday, September 7th. This is the day between Sunday School trimesters where we train/retrain everyone on their Sunday jobs. So everyone including Set up, Welcome Teams, Audio Visual, worship teams, Children’s Worship and all Sunday School teachers need to stay during the Sunday School hour to meet with their Team Leaders.

Women’s Bible Study begins September 11th
All ladies are invited to attend on Thursdays from 9:45—11:45 starting on September 11 with a brunch. We will meet at the home of Grace Stapleton (15900 Beach Road, Chesterfield). We are going to study Tim Keller’s study on Galatians. Please let Dawn Carson know if you plan to attend so she can get you a copy of the book. Childcare will be provided. Be sure to invite your friends!

Upcoming F&L Classes to begin September 14th:

Explorer’s Class: This class is for people who may still be
exploring what they believe and for those who want to learn what we believe as a church. It is a first step to becoming a member. However, there is no pressure to become a member until you are ready. Think of it as a way to look without having to buy. So come and let’s explore the Christian faith together.

Worship: Have you ever wondered about why we do what we do during the Sunday morning worship time? Andy Melton will be helping us understand more about why we worship the way we do, our liturgy, hymns and their meaning, and other aspects to worship. You don’t want to miss this class.

Men’s Retreat
Mark your calendars now for the Annual Men’s Retreat! It will be October 10-12 at John Kirwan’s Cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
