I have had times when I wondered, “Is it really true?” God, faith, Jesus—a big fairytale or the real deal? And what is the point of life? What is my purpose? Most people ask big questions about life’s meaning, suffering, and if there is a God. Maybe you have seen Explore God billboards or heard an ad on the radio. Starting September 11th, churches from across many denominations around Richmond will explore these big questions through sermon series and discussion groups.
Spring Run will pause our series on 1 Corinthians: An Ancient Letter to a Modern Church as we participate in Explore God for the next seven weeks. Doing so displays the unity of the Church across Richmond which Paul emphasized the importance of to the people of Corinth. It also seems fitting because part of the people in the church at Corinth were not confident in the reality of Christianity, and those who did embrace it were struggling deeply to live out its practices. These questions are important for everyone. Whether you are convinced about beliefs or curious, seeking or skeptical, come help us explore God together.
You can also participate in an Explore God discussion group. These groups will listen to people’s ideas from all across America. It is an open and civil space where can discuss big questions with people like you.
