Hey Gang,

I thought I would have someone else give a quick testimony and push for you to sign up for the Men’s Retreat, so here is a blog post by Matt Riffe, enjoy!

I’m looking forward to getting away this year for the Men’s retreat. I think this will be my 6th or 7th trip and each one gets better.  I always look forward to the activities – hiking, shooting guns, hatchet throwing, sitting by the fire, etc – and all of the food (MEAT), but mostly I look forward to connecting with men around the gospel.  I use this weekend as a time to slow down and to think about how I cMens Retreat Riffe 09an better lead my family and how I can get closer to God.

Men, I know it’s not easy to get away; I get it.  Having a wife and four young kids at home, I understand the pressure of leaving for the weekend.  I put a lot of value in attending and I make sure communicate that value to my wife, and in turn she supports me.

Do it for you. Do it for your wife. Do it for your family. You may come back tired, but you will be filled up and motivated.

So, meat, guns, friends, laughter, naps. What else do you need?  If you don’t like it, I’ll personally give your money back.  Let’s go!
