Children's Worship

COVID-19 Update:  The safety of our community is important to us.  Numerous changes to worship, regular programs, and ministry events are occurring. For worship changes please refer to the links on our homepage.  For the latest information, please sign up for our weekly newsletter here.  You will receive an email each Wednesday with up-to-date information.  We look forward to returning to normal operations (as outlined below) in the future.

Prepares children to be in the worship service with their parents.

When children reach the age of 3 years old they are invited to go to Children’s Worship during the 9:00 am service. Your child(ren) will begin service with you and enjoy a time of worship as a family. Before the sermon begins your children will be welcomed upfront, prayed for and then exit for their class. Children will return to service before it ends.

This is an opportunity for young children to hear an age-appropriate Christ-centered message while remaining in a reverent/worshipful manner. We are currently using the Teach Me to Worship curriculum. The lessons present and explain common elements of worship (prayer, tithing, Scripture, sacraments, etc). We are also committed to a multifaceted approach of equipping parents so they can coach and assist the children during congregational worship. Ultimately, we desire for children to be excited about worship and want to join their parents for worship as they grow of an age beyond 2nd grade.

Children should check-in for Children’s Worship before service begins at one of two “Children’s Check-In” carts located in the hallway. If you are new or visiting a volunteer will help get your child(ren) checked in before service or once the children are excused from service. All volunteers working with children have completed and cleared a background check. We welcome your children to join us.
