Jim Conrad, Assistant Pastor
I was born in St. Louis, Missouri. I graduated from Covenant College and Covenant Theological Seminary. During high school my Young Life leader was instrumental in pointing me toward Christ. However, after high school and a wasted semester at a university God put a friend and a college president in my path to lead me to faith in the Savior. I must say they were an answer to my mother’s many prayers. During my college years Dr. Robert G. Rayburn became my mentor and life long friend. Evie and I met and were married in 1967 on Lookout Mountain, Georgia while I was Dean of Men at Covenant College. I have pastored churches in Alabama, Texas, Florida and North Carolina. The longest pastorate was almost 26 years at Covenant Church in Naples, Florida. We have 3 children (Andrew, Laurie and John) and 13 grandchildren.
Heath Taws, Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries
Born in Panama City, FL, Heath attended Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, TN, and received his bachelor’s degree in Biblical and Theological studies. Heath worked at First Presbyterian Church in Panama City for two years before moving to Midlothian and taking the youth position at SRPC. Heath and his wife Ashley have been married since 2012 and recently welcomed a son, Thad to their family. Heath enjoys all things geeky, such as: reading and collecting comic books, watching great movies and debating their deeper meanings, and using his free time to search for Bigfoot. Heath and Ashley are blessed beyond words to call Spring Run their Church family. Come and join us!
Administrator, Jen DeStefano
I have spent most of my life in Virginia, and moved to Midlothian from Northern Virginia in 2005. At about the same time, a new church plant was kicking off and my husband and I got involved with the core group that would become Spring Run Presbyterian Church. It has been a great ‘home’ for us and our daughter. After almost 10 years in corporate America, I happily made the transition to a slower (?!?) pace of work, here at the church. It is the best job I could ask for and I truly enjoy serving Spring Run Presbyterian Church and making great connections with the people who come through our doors! I love spending time with family and friends, reading, being an occasional couch potato, and trying out new group exercise classes at the gym.
Bookkeeper, Joy Roberts
Joy was born and raised in Hampton, VA. She and her husband married and relocated to Richmond in 1997. They have one awesome son. After many attempts to find a church home, an invite to the SRPC Ladies’ Bible Study brought their family to Spring Run Presbyterian Church in 2008.
She holds a degree in Computer Networking/Web Development and was blessed to be able to put her career on hold to focus on her husband and son. She is excited at the opportunity God provided to work part-time and serve her SRPC family. In her “free” time Joy enjoys volunteering, all things techy, vacation planning, homemaking and spending time with friends.
